The electrifying energy of AFCON, captured within the iconic walls of Stamford Bridge. Sports Broadcast Media made it a reality.

The SBM AFCON 2025 Presentation Team at Stamford Bridge

Are you ready for AFCON 2025? Sports Broadcast Media (SBM) recently brought the vibrant energy of the Africa Cup of Nations to the hallowed grounds of Stamford Bridge, home of Chelsea Football Club, for an exclusive promotional content shoot. On March 18th, our dedicated team and a stellar lineup of presenters converged on a private box, transforming it into a hub of AFCON excitement.

The day began before the sun even thought about rising. With a 4:30 AM alarm call, our intrepid SBM crew, comprising Senior Video Producer Sam Hart and Commercial Director Jonathan Baxandall, embarked on a pre-dawn journey to our Leeds studios. At 6 AM, they piled into Programme Director Gavin Puszczalowskyi's car, picking up CTO Mark Hitchings en route, their destination: London and the iconic Stamford Bridge.

Armed with SBM’s comprehensive mobile studio setup – featuring two Nikon Z6 II cameras with stunning 24-70mm lenses, a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera with Panasonic glass, a portable green screen, and an audio setup based entirely on the Rode ecosystem with pod mics and lavalier microphones, all driven by a Rodecaster – the team arrived at Chelsea's home ground by 10:30 AM. Navigating the trophy-laden corridors, they transformed a private box into a dynamic production space in no time at all, ready for an 11 AM start.

The AFCON team, a collection of broadcasting powerhouses, began to arrive, travelling from across the UK. Their dedication was palpable, with individuals journeying from Glasgow and Southampton to be part of this special day. After warm introductions and a content briefing by Gavin, the presenters dove straight into a mock podcast session, debating potential AFCON 2025 winners and engaging in lively, knowledge-testing games.
